Our Manual Handling Training Course delivers 3 – 4 hours of classroom based instruction to enable candidates to gain an understanding of the process of lifting and moving loads, be able to identify hazards and determine the safest method of handling and moving the load without injury, using accepted lifting methods and regulations. This comprehensive course is suitable for anyone in an organisation who is required to handle, lift, push or move any load from construction workers to office workers,

Under health and safety legislation, there is a duty to identify where the moving of loads could lead to a significant risk of injury and then to take action to control and reduce the risk. Although avoidance is the preferred option, for most businesses, manual handling by people will always be required for some tasks.

• Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

• Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992

• Lifting and carrying safely

• Techniques to avoid injury and strain

• Manual handling risk assessment explained

• Lifting and carrying in special situations

• The use of equipment

• How to recognise and avoid potential problems

• Responsibilities of employers and employees

Duration:

Half Day – 8:30am to 12:30pm

Manual Handling Training Course Certification:

Candidate who successfully completes the course will receive a Certificate of Training and ID Card.
